Taro Katsuyama

Taro Katsuyama completed his master’s degree at Waseda University before joining Nikken Sekkei in 1990. He has been involved in many development projects in central Osaka, including Grand Green Osaka, Umeda, Nakanoshima, and Midosuji, and has been responsible for the architectural design of tenant office buildings, head office buildings, luxury hotels, university campus plans, and local community exchange facilities, affording him a wide range of experience. He has served as Osaka Office Representative since 2022. In addition to the JIA Award, the Japan Federation of Architects & Building Engineers Associations Award, the BCS Prize and the Selected Architectural Designs of the AIJ, he has won awards for public landscapes and environmental designs. He is a registered first-class architect and holds memberships in the JIA and the AIJ.
