Tetsuo Tsuchiya joined Nikken Sekkei in 1994 after graduating from the University of Tokyo. He completed his graduate studies at Yale University. His design work includes Tokyo Skytree, YKK80 Building, Ningbo Global Shipping Plaza in China, and The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. He endeavors to contribute to unlocking project possibilities on all levels, from urban scale to architectural detail, and is committed to making proposals that exceed client expectations. His accolades include The JIA (Japan Institute of Architects) Award, the BCS (Building Contractors Association) Prize, the JIA Sustainable Architecture Award, and the Japan Federation of Architects and Building Engineers Associations Prize. He is a JIA-registered architect.
