In 1989, after completing his graduate studies at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is structural design.Wakayama Big Whale (completed in 1997), Kansai International Airport Co.,Ltd. North Wing Expansion (1998), Dojima Avanza (2000), on-site supervision for Kitano Hospital (2001),Kyoto University Katsura Campus (2003), Murata Manufacturing Headquarters Building (2004), restoration of the two main halls at the Shinnyo-ji Temple (2003–2015), Kizugawa City Hall (2009), Iwakuni Airport Terminal Building (2012),Hanwa Kogyo Osaka Headquarters Building (2015), Hiroshima University of Economics Meitokukan (2016), Shiga Bank Yokaichi Branch (2019), and others. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to various renovation projects.Although his childhood dream was to become a carpenter, he was captivated by the clarity of structural mechanics—based on the principle of “equilibrium”—and decided to pursue a career in structural design. For over 30 years since then, he has considered this his true calling.
