He holds a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Nagoya University and a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo.
Specializes in structural design.
Major projects include the Japan Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai World Expo, Ariake Gymnastics Centre, Athletes’ Village Plaza, the Main Building and Assembly Hall (renovation) of the Nagano Prefectural Government Complex, and Tokyo Skytree.
Aiming for structural design that leverages the characteristics of materials, he is also engaged in the development of jointing technologies.
He is a First-Class Architect (Structural Design) and a Professional Engineer (Construction Division, General Engineering; Construction Administration Department).
Member of the Japan Structural Engineers Club, the Japan Association of Structural Engineers, and the Architectural Institute of Japan.
