Yumiko Miyasaka joined Nikken Sekkei after receiving her master's degree from Waseda University in 1995. She specializes in mechanical engineering design. She has headed various projects, including education, medical care, and sports facilities. Her portfolio includes Rikkyo University Lloyd Hall (2012), Meiji University Surugadai Campus Global Front (2013), Trusco Fiorito Building (2014), Aiiku Hospital (2014), The National Museum of Western Art air conditioning renovation (2015), Ariake Gymnastics Centre (2019), Osaka World Expo Japan Pavilion, and others. She values client communications in light of the importance of facility operations verification after projects are completed. She is a first-class registered architect in MEP engineering, holds memberships in the SHASE (Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers of Japan) and the JABMEE (Japanese Association of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineers), and serves as president of the Association of Women MEP Engineers.
