A Pioneer in the Future of Cancer Treatment

At our center, which marks the dawn of a new era in medical advancement, half of the cancer patients receiving treatment can expect a complete cure. As cure rates have risen, treatment goals have also become more ambitious, making it possible for patients to return to their normal daily lives and reintegrate into society at an earlier stage. At the heart of our center’s advanced technology are proton beams and carbon ion beams. Collectively referred to as “particle beams,” these beams are highly effective and cause fewer side effects than the X-rays used in conventional radiation therapy. On the other hand, particle beam therapy involves a long and complex process (planning, treatment, and evaluation), and there is a need to alleviate patient discomfort during both long-term hospital stays and outpatient visits. With these factors in mind, we designed the facility with a strong emphasis on improving quality of life (QOL).
