Daiji Chikuba is a graduate of Cornell University's Graduate School of Architecture, Art, and Planning (where he earned an MA in Architectural Design) in 1991. He joined Nikken Sekkei in 2010 after a stint at Kume Sekkei. Since then, has been involved in architectural designs in the Middle East, southeast Asia, east Asia, and Japan. His project portfolio includes Suzhou Center (2017, WAF Award), Menara ASTRA (Jakarta, 2018, MIPIM ASIA Award), Alva Hotel (Hong Kong, 2019), Tadawul Tower (Riyadh, 2022, IPA Award), 52 | 42 (Dubai, 2021), Forte Towers (Dubai, 2023), and One Za'abeel (Dubai, 2024), etc. Through the design of mixed-use urban developments and skyscrapers, he aims to create rich public spaces. He is a first-class architect, an APEC architect, and holds memberships in the JIA and in the AIJ.
