"Green Blind" wall greening system cools the city

This is a prototype advanced office building that contributes to the environment in the city’s heart, employing wall greening on a large scale across the entire exterior to reduce its environmental impact. The newly developed "Green Blind" wall greening system was installed on the east and west façades to create a symbolic appearance and to contribute to the improvement of the surrounding urban environment by helping to mitigate the heat island effect. The "Green Blind" system consists of a continuous planting strip on each floor balcony. Climbing vines ascend the wires, chain-link gutters, and other exterior supports and foliar irrigation from above, enhancing the evaporative cooling effect. The entire building functions as a single environmental device, closely integrating greening and environmental technology with architectural design.
