Shigeru Yoshino joined Nikken Sekkei In 1986 after completing his master's degree at Waseda University. An expert in architectural design, he has been in charge of many unique projects, including Miraikan, The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Tokyo Skytree, Shibuya Hikarie, Xinyuan-Honey Mart and the Okinawa Cellular Forest Building. The Tokyo Skytree design in particular required extensive study into design, structure, M&E engineering and urban planning to ensure functional continuity in the face of strong winds, seismic motion, and flooding, an accomplishment solely attributable to Nikken Sekkei's professionalism, talent, knowledge, skills, and expertise. Whatever the project may be, Mr. Yoshino is committed to full application of this Nikken Sekkei "DNA" to provide superb architectural solutions to clients around the world.
