Passing on the Skills and Aspirations of Our Forebears to Future Generations
This project involved the restoration of three of the world’s largest wooden structures, which serve as iconic landmarks of the Otani School of Jodo Shinshu’s head temple. The restoration prioritized the preservation of traditional cultural assets, sought to blend traditional techniques with the latest architectural technologies, and ensured safety—making it a project designed to pass on the skills and aspirations of our ancestors to future generations.
