After joining Nikken Sekkei, Mr. Fukuda was engaged in urban design and examining the use of idle land on waterfronts in cities overseas. In recent years, he has been involved in a wide range of activities, such as the development of TOD projects (integrated station and city development) in fields such as Shibuya, Shinjuku and Toranomon, deregulation, and area management consulting. Most recently, he has consulted on deregulating advertising regulations in the first and largest project of its kind in Tokyo, such as the installation of a large digital signage (approximately 780 square meters) on the outer wall of Shibuya Scramble Square in collaboration with the Area Management Council.
