Guangzhou Library

This large-scale library, which houses 3.5 million books available for open-shelf browsing, is one of only a few of its kind in the world. Designed to be a facility open to the public, it embodies a soft, dynamic image that allows people to “enjoy using it as part of their daily lives.” The interior circulation system is also open and easy to navigate, centered around see-through elevators and escalators.
