A beach resort with endless charm, woven together by a variety of experiences
This project marks the first overseas expansion for “Halekulani,” Hawaii’s long-established luxury hotel. Surrounded on three sides by Okinawa’s beautiful ocean, the design maximizes the characteristics of the vast, undulating grounds while embodying the historic hotel’s philosophy both indoors and outdoors. Three bodies of water—a serene water feature extending from the beachfront entrance lobby, the hotel’s iconic Orchid Pool, and the Quiet Pool for adults aged 16 and older—are arranged along an axis leading to the ocean, creating a striking arrival experience through the interplay of multiple water surfaces. Scattered throughout this area’s relaxed, Halekulani-style landscape are an all-day dining terrace where guests can enjoy entertainment and a kids’ pool. In addition, the resort aims to be a beach destination with endless charm, featuring the Sunset Wing atop a hill offering breathtaking ocean views and villas perched at the tip of the cape.
